Okay so let me explain. I needed an analogy for explaining the three pillars of photography and exposure. This idea just came to me one day, and here is the result. In this video, I explain how the three key components of making a photograph (these being the Shutter Speed, Aperture and ISO) work in relation to one another, and more importantly, the effect that they have on the photo, so that hopefully people who are just starting out in photography can understand, especially those who may have just got their hands on their first DSLR or Mirrorless camera, and are confused by all the functions and the scary prospect of shooting in manual, and what that really means. The Camera Basics series will teach these people many more lessons about cameras and photography that they’ll need to know as they start out in taking photos and capturing images they want to capture.
